Key Account Manager

Kauffman Engineering, LLC., with locations throughout Mexico and the USA, has an immediate remote opportunity for a Key Account Manager.

Job Summary:

A Key Account Manager is responsible for managing select, high-profile customer accounts by delivering personalized, concierge-level experience. This role focuses on nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Through strategic engagement, tailored solutions, and proactive support, the Key Account Manager ensures customer satisfaction, drives retention, and contributes to long-term revenue growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages a select  number of “key” clients that are strategically important and have a high-revenue potential.
  • Works closely with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Finance to create tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Ensure sales accounts meet or exceed annual financial plan objectives.
  • Visit customer locations as needed to support the business and maintain good relationships.
  • Support program management and new launch activities
  • Seeks to expand business and increase profitability from existing key accounts. This can involve upselling and cross-selling, but the focus is on long-term growth rather than short-term transactions.
  • Serves as a strategic partner, deeply embedded in the client’s business to understand their long-term goals and working to build mutual long-term success.
  • Gather and provide competitive feedback concerning activities within the assigned sales area.
  • Contributes strategic sales data and provides valuable input to support the AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
  • Lead Problem Solving and/or Continuous Improvement Teams, as required.

Education and Experience:    

    • Bachelor’s degree (Business or Engineering concentration preferred) or equivalent field experience
    • 5 years technical sales in industrial components
    • Effective written and verbal communication
    • Team player with a positive attitude and follow-through approach
    • Possess a balance of both hunting and farming abilities but greatest emphasis on farming
    • Confidence and ability to navigate and advance through ambiguity.
    • Industry contacts in one or more markets of (Medical, RV, Truck-Bus, Con-Ag, Mil-Aero, Commercial Equipment or related) and OEM buying procedures.
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools

    Work Environment:

    • Remote work from home.
    • Will visit customer factories and internal factories.
    • The region is CST or EST time zone.
    • Ideal location within 60-mile radius of metropolitan area/ airport.
